Our joint event with WEX Photo/Video was highly successful, with delegates from across the UK attending. We hope to run a similar event later in 2025. Please get in contact if you would like to get an exclusive invitation to the next event.
Mirrorless Cameras
In the near future, you will want to consider a move from DSLR’s to mirrorless camera systems to capture low light images.
Explore New Equipment
This event is aimed at staff who work in Law Enforcement and Government Agencies. It's a great opportunity to talk with the camera and lens manufacturer representatives about sensitive techniques for image capture in low light.
The day will give you an opportunity to see and discuss with the Government specialists from Canon, Fuji, Nikon and Sony the latest mirrorless camera systems. The event will also be supported by companies such as Forensic Training Partnership, Axis, Milestone, Sigma, Tamron, Lexar, Bushnell and Hikmicro.
15 January 2025 - Howbery Business Park, Oxfordshire
There will be ample opportunity to test the equipment. To test the full capabilities of each camera and its evening/night time functions we are staying in place until 8pm. It starts to get dark from 4pm onwards. Being at Howbery Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire is a great location to compare the equipment. To the rear of the Manor House you will find woodland leading down to the Thames, at night it’s very dark, to the front of the Manor House there are buildings and car parks with different types of lighting. There will be an opportunity to learn how to paint with light with Tonja Fritz-Johnson and test your skills at photographing a 'mock crime scene'...

Events and Training Provider
The team at the Forensic Training Partnership enjoy running both in-person and online events in several ways:
In-person events:
- Enhanced networking: Face-to-face interaction allows for better networking opportunities, building stronger connections among attendees and with instructors.
- Hands-on experience: Some forensic training requires practical, hands-on activities that are difficult to replicate online. In-person events provide the space and resources for these activities.
- Immersive learning: A dedicated learning environment with fewer distractions can lead to better focus and knowledge retention.
- Direct feedback and observation: Instructors can gauge understanding and provide personalised feedback more effectively in person.
Online events:
- Increased accessibility: Online events remove geographical barriers, making training available to a wider audience regardless of location or travel limitations.
- Cost-effectiveness: Online events can be more affordable for both the organisers and attendees, eliminating costs associated with travel, accommodation, and venue hire.
- Flexibility and convenience: Online events offer flexibility for attendees to learn at their own pace and fit training into their schedules.
- Scalability: Online platforms can accommodate a larger number of participants compared to physical venues.
By offering both in-person and online events, we can cater to a wider audience with diverse learning preferences and needs, maximising the reach and impact of our training programmes.
