Initial CSI Course
During the six week course we equip the newbie CSI with the skills to carry out their job competently and with confidence, using their Force protocols.
We offer a lot of practical sessions, so that the student can build their knowledge progressively during the length of the course. Hands-on practical sessions are vital to help embed the learning that has occurred and ensure that students are familiar with their own Force procedures.
Advanced CSI Course
The advanced CSI course carries on from the Initial CSI Course and develops further skills and knowledge. This can however be taken as a stand-alone course if required. The course helps to enhance and enrich the knowledge of the CSI around different specialist disciplines that may be used at a major crime scene and also includes a number of practical sessions where skills essential for murder and suspicious death scenes are explored. Consolidation of basic CSI skills learnt are adapted to use in more complex crime scenes, and the role of a CSI in a major crime scene is discussed in-depth.
A crime scene manager plays a critical role in overseeing the investigation and management of crime scenes. They are responsible for coordinating the activities of various personnel, ensuring the preservation of evidence and facilitating a thorough and efficient investigation.
Theses course are for chemical treatment laboratory staff working for Police Forces across the UK. Taking them through the basic techniques of using light and lasers to master more advanced sequential treatments, photography and post capture enhancement.
