Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions are an essential component for any business as they serve several crucial purposes. These legal agreements establish the rules, rights and obligations between the business and its customers, providing clarity and protection for both parties.

Protection of Rights

1.1 The Forensic Training Partnership (FTP) is a community interest company (CIC) that provides training, education to forensic professionals and is registered in the UK with Companies House 15181682 [https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/15181682]

1.2 All intellectual property rights in the Forensic Training Partnership website and all materials contained therein, including text, graphics, images, and software, are owned by the Forensic Training Partnership CIC or its licensors. 

1.3 You are granted a limited license to access and use the website and materials for your personal, non-commercial use only.  You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, or create derivative works from any of the website or materials without the express written permission of the Forensic Training Partnership.

1.4 The FTP respects the rights of all individuals and organisations, and will not engage in any activity that infringes on those rights.

 

Liability Limitation

2.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Forensic Training Partnership CIC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the website and materials, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

2.2 FTP is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of its services.  FTP is also not liable for any errors or omissions in its training materials or for any losses incurred as a result of relying on the information provided in its training materials.

 

Intellectual Property Protection

3.1 All intellectual property rights in the Forensic Training Partnership website and all materials contained therein, including text, graphics, images, and software, are owned by the Forensic Training Partnership or its licensors. 

3.2 You agree to respect the intellectual property rights of the Forensic Training Partnership and its licensors and not to infringe upon those rights in any way.

3.3 Users of the FTP's training materials and website are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for their own personal or educational purposes.

3.4 Users of the FTP's training materials and website are not permitted to copy, reproduce, distribute, or sell the materials without the FTP's prior written consent.

 

Privacy and Data Protection

4.1 The Forensic Training Partnership is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.  You can view our Privacy Policy at [link to Privacy Policy https://forensictraininguk.org/privacy-policy/].

4.2 By using the FTP's website or training materials, users consent to the collection and processing of their personal data in accordance with the FTP's privacy policy.

4.3 The FTP will only use personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, and will not share it with any third parties without the consent of the user.

 

Dispute Resolution

5.1 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Business Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

Additional Terms and Conditions

6.1 By using the website or materials, you agree to be bound by these Business Terms and Conditions and any additional terms and conditions imposed by the Forensic Training Partnership.

6.2 Users of the FTP's in-person training must register for the training course in advance.

6.3 Users of the FTP's in-person training must pay the full course fee in advance.

6.4 Users of the FTP's in-person training must attend all sessions of the course.

6.5 The FTP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a training course at its discretion.

6.6 Users who wish to obtain a certification from the FTP must complete the required training course and pass the certification exam.

6.7 The FTP reserves the right to refuse to certify any person at its discretion.

 

Cancellations

7.1 Once our quote or proposal has been accepted, a time and date will be scheduled which is mutually beneficial to both parties.

7.2 If the client decides to cancel the work, depending on the date there will be a cancellation fee payable.

7.3 Cancellation fees are on a sliding scale dependant on the time given prior to the commencement of the project:

7.3.1 LESS the EIGHT (8) days notice 100% of the proposed work is payable.

7.3.2 BETWEEN NINE (9) and SIXTEEN (16) days notice 50% of the proposed work is payable.

7.3.3 BETWEEN SEVENTEEN (17) and TWENTY EIGHT(28) days notice 25% of the proposed work is payable.

7.3.4 Beyond TWENTY EIGHT (28) days there is no charge.

 

Payment

8.1 Payment should normally be made by BACS (the details will be supplied on the Invoice).  Care used to be taken on submitting payment by this method.

8.2 It is suggested on the first occasion of payment by this method, a nominal £10 is made.  Once confirmation is made by a member of the Forensic Training Partnership, the rest of the payment is made.  

8.3 Our terms are strictly net 14 days (two weeks) unless agreed in advance and in writing.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

9.1 The FTP may change these Business Terms and Conditions at any time.  Users are encouraged to review these Business Terms and Conditions on a regular basis to ensure that they are aware of any changes.
