Unlock Your Photography Potential: Basic Photography Course Coming Soon!

Are you ready to move beyond your phone and truly master digital photography? Our brand-new Basic Photography Course is launching soon, designed specifically for aspiring photographers like you!

This course will guide you through the fundamentals of photography, focusing on Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras. Don't worry if you don't have one yet – we'll provide cameras for you to use, or you're welcome to bring your own.

You'll gain hands-on experience through extensive exercises designed to help you understand your camera's settings and various photographic techniques. Some of these practical exercises will even draw on similar real-world scenarios from our popular Initial CSI course, giving you a unique and engaging learning experience.

Basic Crime Scene Investigator Course

This course is for people who are not directly employed by a UK Police Force and want to become a CSI.  This full time six week course is identical to the Initial CSI course, with added advice on how forensic departments with a UK Police Force recruit their staff.

FTP CSI Classroom Training

Initial CSI Course

The course provides a solid foundation in crime scene investigation techniques. Participants learn about; Evidence Collection, Photography, Fingerprinting, DNA Analysis, Documentation Procedures and Presenting Evidence in Court.  This course is for UK Police Staff staff, who have been directly employed to do this work.

This course has been recently certified by the Chartered Society of Forensic Science.

Advanced Crime Scene Investigator Course

This course builds on the Initial CSI Course and takes the learning to a new level with additional skills

Crime Scene Managers and Leadership Course

A crime scene manager plays a critical role in overseeing the investigation and management of crime scenes. They are responsible for coordinating the activities of various personnel, ensuring the preservation of evidence and facilitating a thorough and efficient investigation.

Initial Fingerprint Visualisation Course

This course is delivered by a team at London South Bank University who have extensive knowledge of the chemical treatments and processes.  This initial course will be one week long.  This course is for staff directly employed by UK police forces in the Fingerprint Evidence Laboratory.  It covers all the basic chemical treatments with hands on opportunity.  White light, fluorescence is demonstrated and the treatments discussed in depth; Powders, Superglue, Ninhydrin, Acid Dyes and Powder Suspensions.

Advanced Fingerprint Visualisation Course

This one week course builds on the Initial Fingermark Visualisation course.  With photography theory and practical sessions for the students to build their expertise and understanding.  Using chemical treatments at a mock crime scene and Alternative Light Sources, with fingermark recognition basic principles and assessment of treated rooms will be talked about and again practical exercise will be undertaken.

Fingerprint Visualisation CPD

This proposed course, is underdevelopment, but will probably explore the use of equipment, alternative light sources, chemical treatments and specialist photography with Nick Marsh.   This course will be tailored around what is needed by your Force.  Please contact us to register your interest now.
